Professional Development

Professional development and assistance is available to districts on an as-requested or as-needed schedule, at no cost to districts or schools. We can provide educational programming covering virtually any content area or pedagogy relevant to K-12 civics (including some areas that overlap with US History). Face-to-face workshops can be designed around your available time, ranging from a few hours to multi-day sessions. We also have the capability to provide webinar-based professional development of varying lengths (though we do not recommend longer than 2 hours for a webinar).

While we ARE eager to provide professional development and support anywhere we are needed, we are limited both financially and in personnel. As such, we request that you provide us with at least one month notice if you would like us to assist you.

Please direct all inquiries concerning professional development and support to the Florida Joint Center for Citizenship's director, Steve Masyada, at
